Damage assessment across Barbados continues

The damage assessment and needs analysis exercise post-Beryl is continuing.

The update from Minister of Home Affairs and Information, Wilfred Abrahams, as he delivered a Ministerial Statement in the Lower House.

Beryl has become the first hurricane to form in the Atlantic this early in the hurricane season.

Although it strengthened to category 3 before passing to the south of the island, Mr. Abrahams says no lives were lost from the hurricane.

He reveals 261 incident reports were received, including damage to roofs and houses, fallen trees and damaged utilities.
