94% of the Barbados Water Authority’s production capacity has been restored.
However, the BWA says some stations are still operating on standby generators and this will continue until the utility power has been restored.
Due to the high water demand, some customers may experience low pressure and outages. However, the BWA expects this should be rectified in the next 24 hours, as lines become fully charged.
The Authority is expecting to be back at 100 % production capacity within the next 24 hours once minor repairs to equipment are completed.
In the interim, water tanker teams will continue to supply those experiencing water outages.
The Barbados Water Authority thanks the public for their patience as work continues to address the service disruptions.
