The Ministry of Education is advising the public that regular classes at all schools are suspended due to the passage of Hurricane Beryl.
Several schools have been designated as hurricane shelters.
The public will be notified when regular school activities can resume.
Members of the public are encouraged to identify their closest shelter and safely make their way there if need be.
The Ministry reminds the public to check their loved ones, neighbours, the elderly and the differently abled and joins the nation in praying for the safety of Barbados.
