The Barbados Water Authority is reminding the public that its community tanks will be filled and secured before the passage of any system.
This is to prevent tanks from becoming missiles and ensure they will be available after the storm.
The reminder comes as the Barbados Meteorological Services is currently monitoring a weather system in the Atlantic and has warned that the public should brace for a deterioration in weather.
In addition, the Authority also advised the public to store water and their surroundings sanitary.
The public is encouraged to contact BWA to report any urgent water-related issues after the storm passes and the All Clear has been given.
The Authority urges all to be prepared and stay safe.
