Some residents in St. Joseph had a special visit – or an unwanted visit may be more appropriate – from high winds overnight.
The Barbados Meteorological Services issued a notice on Monday, highlighting the possibility of gusty winds impacting the island and it made its presence known in St. Joseph.
This is as a tree fell at the corner of Phillips Road and Cleavers Hill, St Joseph around 2 a.m. It blocked traffic for some time until a resident, Charles Horton, cut some of the limbs.
Police from District F also assisted in the clearance enabling traffic to pass. Residents were also thankful that the tree missed the utility lines.
