Barbados will be adopting a zero-tolerance approach to people who willfully mutilate sea turtles for fun.
Minister of the Environment and National Beautification, Adrian Forde has spoken out against such instances, labelling the acts as wicked.
He is reminding citizens of the importance of turtles to the island’s biodiversity and marine environment.
Mr. Forde’s comments came during the launch of Phase 5 of Republic Bank’s Corporate Social Responsibility Programme – the Power to Make a Difference – for the 2023-2024 fiscal year.
