Barbadians in the diaspora have been encouraged to do their part to assist their country, and especially people with disabilities.
The call from Disabilities Advocate for the Ministry of People Empowerment and Elder Affairs, Senator Andwele Boyce.
He was speaking during the handover of more than 70 flexible canes to the National Disabilities Unit.
The donation was made by Samuel Burke, a visually impaired Barbadian who lives in the United States of America.
He expressed pleasure at being able to assist.
