Barbados to be represented in upcoming ice skating meet

National ice skater Priyanka Sharma is getting ready to represent Barbados at the upcoming Ice Arena Friendship Cup 2024 in Puebla, Mexico.

Sharma, who is based in Canada, has been hard at training as she is set to compete in the senior women’s division of the competition set for June 21-23.

It will be her opening competition of the new ice skating season.

And speaking to CBC Sports, she says she is ready to give of her best.

Following this competition, Sharma will then travel to the USA Figure Skating Association’s ‘Skate Milwaukee’ event from July 8-12.
