Version 3.0 of the Bridgetown Initiative has been launched for consultation at the ongoing 4th International Conference on Small Island Developing States.
It seeks to change rules around representation at international financial institutions and the use of per capita gross national income as a criterion for access.
Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley says Bridgetown 3.0 calls for consideration to be given to a global solidarity levy for people and planet.
Ms. Mottley has further recommended a biennial summit of SIDS along with a governance structure to oversee the implementation of the Antigua and Barbuda Agenda for Small Island Developing States.
She’s provided an update on the planned Blue Green Bank and other initiatives to assist SIDS.
