The status quo must remain.
That’s the ruling given by Chief Justice Leslie Haynes moments ago at the Barbados Supreme Court Complex, during a hearing for a case brought by Democratic Labour Party member, Ricardo Williams.
Mr. Williams is trying to restore Dr. Ronnie Yearwood and Steven Blackett to their elected posts after they were suspended by the DLP’s general council.
Attorney Hal Gollop SC, who’s representing defendants Acting General Secretary Pedro Shepherd and Acting President Andre Worrell, spoke to the media following the adjournment.
Opposition Leader Ralph Thorne attended the hearing.
