The Opposition Democratic Labour Party has commended Government for taking onboard some of its suggestions in the amendments to the Child Protection Bill.
During Debate on a Resolution on the Report of the Joint Select Committee on Social Sector and the Environment on the Child Protection Bill, Opposition Leader Ralph Thorne says they support any bill which seeks to protect children and not punish them.
However, he’s called on the Attorney General to pay closer attention to the Sexual Offences Act.
