Workers on the front line of the COVID-19 pandemic are dealing with serious mental challenges, as some work long hours under stressful conditions.
That’s the word from President of the Barbados Society of Psychology Dr. Jennifer Deanne Ford as she presented wellness packages to administrators and coordinators of the Harrison’s Point Isolation Facility.
Dr. Ford says the organization recognized the need to give back to the staffers who have been working tirelessly since the beginning of the pandemic.
The donation coincided with the 20th anniversary of the Barbados Society of Psychology.
The wellness packages included items intended to help workers relieve stress and enhance their mental wellbeing.
As Barbados grapples with the current surge in cases, Operations Manager of the Isolation Facility Ingrid Caddle-Rowe thanked the society for its timely donation.
