Man in custody following stabbing incident

A man in his late 20s is nursing stab wounds after an altercation along Rockley Main Road this afternoon.

Police say the victim was riding a bicycle in the area around 12 minutes to 1, when he was involved in a confrontation with an individual who exited a route taxi.

Both the bicyclist and the ZR had been heading in the direction of the City.

During the altercation the cyclist was stabbed in his right shoulder and left forearm.

He was taken to hospital by ambulance for medical treatment.

CBC understands a man has been taken into custody in connection with the incident, after walking in to the Hastings-Worthing Police Station.
