Barbadians dealing with emotional challenges now have a new support resource at hand.
It is the Lifeline Barbados which is now officially open to the public from today.
The Ministry of Health and Wellness’ new support hotline will provide information, emotional support, and crisis intervention services.
Trained personnel will be waiting on the other end to when persons call 536-4500.
The service will be available from between 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. and there is also a short code, #988, which should be operational soon.
The service will be available including public holidays as well however, callers will not be provided with treatment via the hotline.
