The Barbados Association of Medical Practitioners is warning the number of COVID-19 cases could be higher than what is reflected on the latest dashboard.
The most recent statistics show 377 new cases from 1248 tests, conducted over a two week period.
Six people also died during that time.
BAMP President, Dr. Lynda Williams, is reinforcing the need for people to recognise COVID-19 has not left us, and that is being reflected in the numbers even if they’re lower than expected.
While those people traditionally considered vulnerable include people with co-morbidities, the elderly, obese people and those with asthma, Dr. Williams is also warning some people who have been vaccinated against COVID-19.
