The Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC) says it is gravely concerned following the theft of secure fireproof cabinets containing examination papers from a school in Jamaica.
In a release, CXC says it was informed today of the theft of the cabinets containing examination papers for nine subjects, scheduled to be administered this week.
The examining body revealed the matter is being investigated by the Ministry of National Security and the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF).
It notes it is in constant contact with the Ministry of Education and Youth in Jamaica and an update was shared with Ministries of Education across the region at a meeting earlier today.
CXC says it is determining its course of action and further information will be shared as it becomes available.
