As more and more sargassum seaweed continues appear on beaches across the island, a leading tourism official has been offering some suggestions as to how to deal with the matter.
The latest influx of seaweed is said to be part of a 5000 mile wide giant blob moving across the Atlantic Ocean.
It has been described as being twice the width of the continental United States.
Weighing in on the situation, Chairperson of the Board of the Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc. Shelly Williams, says other destinations are being impacted as well.
However, she adds beach cleanups will be key to address the act of nature.
