Barbadians this World Sight Day are being challenged to prioritise their eye health.
The day is being observed under the theme, ‘Love Your Eyes’.
Ophthalmologist with the Barbados Diabetes Foundation, Dr. Charles Pierce finds the theme appropriate because he believes most people take vision for granted.
He was a guest on CBC TV8’s Mornin’ Barbados.
The National United Society of the Blind is onboard as it too is promoting good eye health.
Past President, Rudyard Welch says prevention is better than cure.
The group meanwhile is organising a walk for Saturday to commemorate World Sight Day.
