Two Jamaican nationals nabbed at the Grantley Adams International Airport on Saturday after arriving on a flight from Jamaica with drugs are to appear in court.

They are 45 year old, Christopher Mark McGeary and 34 year old Rory King.

On arrival, Christopher McGeary was interviewed by members of the drug squad and referred to customs.

A search by customs revealed 5 packages of cannabis weighing 4 pounds strapped around his body.

The same procedure followed with Rory King, five packages of cannabis weighing four pounds were also found strapped around his body.

The two Jamaican nationals face individual charges of possession, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and importation of cannabis.

Meanwhile a Barbadian man who was found growing cannabis at his St Michael home appears in the District A Magistrates court Monday.

He is Matthew Norville, 45 of Kirtons Road, Delemere Land.

Norville was arrested after lawmen executed a warrant on Sunday.

Three cannabis plants under cultivation and a loose quantity of cannabis were found and seized.

Norville faces the charges of possession, possession with intent to supply, trafficking and cultivation.

And members of the drug squad continued their drug eradication operations throughout the country, seizing 94 growing cannabis plants in a bushy area at Drax Hall, St. George on Sunday morning.

The plants were a maximum of 2 feet in height.

No arrests were made.
