Entrepreneurs need to place more emphasis on marketing their goods and services.

The advice is coming from Director of the Rural Development Commission Randolph Outram.

Mr. Outram was delivering the feature address at a marketing and networking seminar hosted by the RDC Wednesday.

Several of the RDC's clients were in attendance and got the chance to hand out their business cards, share information and display their products.

He says many times people confuse marketing with advertising, but he says there is a vast difference.

Mr. Outram says another area where entrepreneurs fail is in carrying out research on their products and services.

He says customer feedback is important incase re-branding needs to be done.
