The combination of a trough system, light winds and strong daytime heating has been generating some cloudy skies across northwestern, western and central districts of Barbados this afternoon.
Rainfall accumulations of 1 to 3 inches (25 to 75 mm) have already been recorded across some western districts and further accumulations of 1 to 2 inches ( 25 to 50 mm ) are likely as the evening progresses.
Thus, a Flood-Warning has been issued and will remain in effect until 6:00p.m this evening, Thursday, 29th March, 2018.
Residents in flood-prone areas should remain on the alert and take the necessary precautions.
A Flood-Warning means that flooding is already occurring or is imminent.
