Defending champions Barbados Lumber Company LSC are on the verge of repeating as kings of the Co-Operator's General Insurance BABA premier league.
By winning game 3 Tuesday night at the Wildey Gym 78 to 74, LSC have taken a 2-1 lead against the Barbados Hilton Resort Warriors in the best-of-five finals series.
The teams were tied at the end of the first quarter 18-all, but it was Lakers who led the rest of the quarters 41 to 33 and 61 to 45 respectively to eventually take the game by that four-point margin.
For the Lakers, John Jones had a team high 20 points while Chiamaka Browne collected 17.
Meanwhile for the Warriors Nicholai Williams had a game high 24 points with Justin Pile scoring 15.
LSC can win the title again if they take game 4 Thursday at BCC.
