The Millie Ifill Fishing Complex at Weston, St James is in line for a significant facelift.
But until that can be done, Minister of the Blue Economy and Maritime Affairs, Kirk Humphrey says officials are looking into some smaller issues identified by the fisherfolk who operate there.
Barbadians will wait a little longer to see whether they can legally enjoy sea eggs this year.
Word of this came from chief fisheries officer, Stephen Willoughby.
The last sea egg season was two years ago but did not last very long once it was officially opened.
Mr Willoughby was speaking during that tour of the Millie Ifill Fishing Complex.
