The Cancer Support Services has outgrown its Belmont Road headquarters, and it's asking corporate Barbados and other benefactors, to help in its quest to buy a building it's already identified as its potential new home.

Public relations officer, Antoine Williams says CSS already has plans for a number of fund raisers.

But they're also thinking about a major golf tournament as prostate cancers remains one of the organisation's main focuses.

Mr Williams was speaking to CBC News on the sidelines of one of the services' PSA testing drives.

Several men turned up to get their blood tests done, but they also benefited from an exchange with consultant urologist, Dr Jeetu Nebhnani.

The urologist says one of the most frequently asked questions is whether prostate cancer can be prevented.

And men he said are also still very perturbed by having to take the digital rectum test.

Dr Nebhnani thinks the message about getting the screening done is hitting home and sessions like those at CSS are critical.
