Management of the Channell and Trimart stores have issued a recall on a shipment of whole romaine lettuce.

This after the US put out a warning on a shipment of the produce, amidst fears of e coli contamination.

Human resources representative Samantha Cumberbatch says out of an abundance of caution they issued the recall.

She says however, not all of the produce is affected.

Ms. Cumberbatch says lettuce sold before the thirteenth and after the twentieth of April is safe for consumption, and consumers can check their social media page for more information.
