There are strong indications that thousands of public servants will be getting some kind of a pay deal with government this Yuletide season.
This optimism from general secretary of the National Union of Public Workers Roslyn Smith who's told CBC she's positive of a major development when wages talks between the two parties resume.
Those discussions are set to take place Friday morning between the NUPW and the Ministry of the Civil Service, at the E Humphrey Walcott building, on Culloden Road.
And even before those talks are being held the NUPW has summoned all shop stewards and members of the union to the Horatio Cooke Auditorium at Dalkeith at five pm Friday to update them on the wages discussions.
The NUPW's team is being led by Ms Smith while Alison Forte is leading the team for the Ministry of the Civil Service.
