Telecoms provider Digicel says its mobile LTE or long term evolution network is being expanded to reach more customers.
The company says in October 2016, it reached a significant milestone by becoming the first telecoms provider to introduce LTE to Barbados, a key pillar of its Digicel 2030 commitment to 'delivering an amazing network experience for customers'.
And now, Digicel, through its partnership with its technology partner ZTE, has seen a robust expanded LTE deployment plan for upgraded sites throughout Barbados.
To date the LTE expansion has reached more than 90 percent completion, with full works expected to be finished by the end of this month.
CEO of Digicel Barbados, Alex Tasker said they know there have been some delays along the way, but they want their customers to know that the expanded LTE is worth the wait.
