Barbadians who shop online will have more time before the Value Added Tax on those types of transactions goes into effect.
This was revealed in Parliament Tuesday as Prime Minister Mia Amor Mottley gave a statement on Barbados' response to the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development's base erosion and profit shifting programme.
The tax was to go into effect on December first, after a two month delay from the original implementation date of October first.
However Prime Minister Mottley revealed the tax will be pushed back by two weeks.
Prime Minister Mottley also revealed changes would soon be coming to the betting and gaming sector.
