It's a messy situation, but the Sanitation Service Authority is vowing to clean up its act especially in the north.
SSA public relations officer Carl Padmore gave the assurance, answering questions from the media about limited garbage collection in many rural communities there.
Speaking during a tour of Bowling Alley, St. Joseph, where collection has been weeks apart, Mr. Padmore says officials have been meeting to determine a plan of action.
Meanwhile manager of the Barbados Water Authority's rapid response unit and communications, Joyann Haigh also issued an appeal to Bowling Alley residents.
She wants them to use the alternative site in front of the abandoned Church for their garbage.
