Barbados Water Authority workers appear to be off the job.
When CBC visited the BWA's headquarters in the Pine, St. Michael scores of workers were observed standing around, or talking in groups.
Union representative Carl Boyce was quick to deny that the workers are on strike, saying only that there was a meeting this morning.
CBC understands the meeting pertained to back pay and general manager Keithroy Halliday was expected to provide workers with an update on when they can expect to receive their money.
However, as one worker explained Mr. Halliday has so far been a no-show.
When contacted for comment, Mr. Halliday confirmed knowledge of the meeting, but declined to comment further until he had been fully briefed.
