The Caribbean is being united through calypso as Barbados prepares to host the inaugural Caribbean Junior Monarch Competition.
Participating countries and territories for the August 20th event include host country Barbados, St Kitts, Guyana, Trinidad and Tobago, Dominica, Grenada, Nevis, Anguilla, Montserrat, St Lucia, St Vincent and the Grenadines and Antigua and Barbuda.
Managing director, Julian Arthur says the competition is not solely about singing but developing young talent and fostering unity.
A competition has also been launched where people throughout the Caribbean can design the grand prize trophy.
