Commerce Minister Donville Inniss has launched a verbal attack against Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro and local activist David Comissiong.

He criticised Mr Comissiong for publicly supporting the president, who has been accused by international media of contributing to a social crisis in Venezuela.

Hundreds of thousands of protestors have rallied against his government over the past months and more than twenty people have reportedly been killed by the violence.

Minister Inniss says the president's actions throughout the crisis cannot be condoned.
