Barbados' level of development is due in no small measure to the invaluable contribution of the trade union movement.
This assertion from public services international's sub-regional secretary for the Caribbean, Sandra Massiah.
She was speaking during a recording of the CBC's radio programme 'In the Spotlight'.
Ms Massiah adds that there is no question, that the collective voice of the unions reflected in the social partnership through the Congress of Trade Unions and Staff Association, has also been beneficial to the country.
The 'In the Spotlight' radio programme will be aired Sunday morning at 9:30 on 94.7 and at 10:30 on q 100.7fm.
