St. Andrew accident victim identified

A horrific collision involving a Sanitation Service Authority’s truck and a car in St. Andrew earlier today has left one man dead.

This was confirmed by Police Public Relations Officer Acting Inspector Rodney Inniss.

He says the deceased, who has been identified as 35 year old Damien Lynch of Long Gap, Grazettes, St. Michael, was the lone occupant of the SSA truck.

The accident occurred at Cleland Hill in St. Andrew around ten minutes after three this afternoon.

The truck which, overturned upon impact, and the car were both extensively damaged.

Police say the driver of the car, 60 year old Everton Morris of Franklyn Road, Belleplaine, St. Andrew, has reportedly sought private medical attention.
