A 10 member family is looking for somewhere to call home after fire ripped through their Prescod Road, Mount Standfast, St James homes, completely destroying the three structures Thursday morning.
The first, a wall house was owned by 34-year-old Andre Richards, while the other two wooden houses were owned by his brother and sister, 28-year-old Qasin Richards and 30-year-old Kimberley Richards.
The siblings' five children, between the ages of two and five, also lived at the homes.
CBC understands that Qasin's hands were burnt as he and other good Samaritans from the area managed to salvage some of the families' belongings from the blaze.
A spokesman for the men told CBC News they're willing to help with the rebuilding efforts once the family recovers.
Six fire officers in two tenders responded to the blaze under command of divisional officer, Mervin Mayers.
