Even though the Caribbean has been the slowest region to recover from the economic crisis of the western hemisphere, it should not lose confidence.
This message was articulated by Deputy Division Chief of the Caribbean Division of the International Monetary Fund, Dr. Arnold McIntyre
He was delivering the feature address at the 33rd Adlith Browne Memorial lecture at the Courtney Blackman Grand Salle.
While admitting there is cause for concern. Dr. McIntyre says the Caribbean must not accept a less than prosperous future, but rather instill greater discipline and completely change the paradigm by which we conduct economic management.
Dr. McIntyre also sought to diagnose the problems for the region's poor growth performance.
