Colin Munro and Denesh Ramdin powered the Trinbago Knight Riders to a record-breaking total before Dwayne Bravo and Fawad Ahmed sealed a thumping 100-run victory over the St Lucia Stars in the opening defence of their Hero Caribbean Premier League title Wednesday night.
Munro smashed 68 from 48 balls and Ramdin 50 not out off 27, as those two had a 50-run partnership that helped the Knight Riders post a record-breaking CPL total at the Queen's Park Oval of 195 for 6 off their 20 overs.
The Stars, who failed to win a single match last season, collapsed from 35 without loss to 53 for 6, before eventually being bowled out for 95 in 17.3 overs.
Fawad Ahmed finished with 3 for 16 and bravo 3 for 11.
Thursday's match is Guyana Amazon Warriors versus St. Kitts and Nevis Patriots at Providence, Guyana.
It'll be live on CBC TV 8 from 6 pm.
