Neglected parish

Neglected parish
16 May

United Progressive Party candidate for St. Andrew is concerned agriculture in that rural parish, has been neglected for far too long.

She made the comments, as the UPP mounted a platform at Deanstown, Orange Hill.

She believes far more can be done to develop the land to not only feed more Barbadians, but to also create more employment opportunities for the youth.

She says one way to do this would be the creation of the first agriculture walk-in parks.

Roachford adds that a fun theme could be included in each park, such as ATV's, to encourage greater participation by younger people and visitors alike.

United Progressive Party candidate for Christ Church East Central Ogeji Dottin, is telling Barbadians to stay focused this election and not be fooled by the parties, drinks or money.

The call came during a spot meeting in Orange Hill in support of candidate for St Andrew, Roli Roachford.
