Aged 78, of Prior Park Terrace, St. James. Former Nursing Sister of the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, member of the Barbados Organization of Retired Nurses and Chorister of St. John the Baptist Anglican Church.

Daughter of the late Leslie and Millicent Sobers.

Beloved wife of Alfred John Riley.

Loving mother of Sally-Ann, Gail, Elizabeth and Diane Riley. Stepmother of Edwin Howell.

Grandmother of Leigh-Ann, Janae, Kendi, Aman, Max and Quinn. Adoptive Grandmother of Randy Bennett, Mario Howell and Zayne Knight-Howell.

Sister of Christopher and Ena Sobers, the late Erma and Norma Sobers and Ersena Brewster.

Aunt of Anthony and Parnel Brewster, Yvette Cox, Anne Griffith, Orlaine Ramsay, Henderson Ramsay and Hamilton Wilson.

Mother-in-law of Steve Bispham and Ramona Ramoutar.

Sister-in-law of Marjorie Riley and Rhonda Sobers.

Relative of the Sobers, Nicholls and Farley families. Friend of many.

The funeral of Vashti Hamutal Riley née Sobers leaves Downes and Wilson Funeral Home, Eagle Hall, St. Michael on Saturday, September 22nd, 2018 at 8:30 a.m. for the Church of St. John the Baptist, Thorpes, St. James, where relatives and friends are asked to meet at 10:00 a.m. for the service.

The Organist and members of the church choir are asked to attend.

Mourning colours are optional.
