Insurance premiums have risen following the devastation brought by passage of hurricanes Irma and Maria across the region last year.
Massy United Insurance Limited says increases were reflected in almost every territory in which the company operates.
Chief Executive Officer Randy Graham says the reason for the increases is the perceived higher level of risks associated with insurance for the region.
He made the revelation as Massy United hosted a media round table discussion at the Hilton Hotel.
Mr Graham says just shy of twelve hundred claims were made and hundreds of millions paid out by Massy United Insurance.
