The energy sector will take centre stage when the Caribbean Electric Utility Services Corporation, or CARILEC, joins with the Barbados Light and Power Company, to host a major event.
Executive director of St. Lucia-based CARILEC, Cletus Bertin was recently in Barbados ahead of the chief executive officers and leadership conference.
He talked about CARILEC'S role in the conference, as the major representative of 34 full-member electric utilities and independent power producers, from around the region.
He adds that the conference is also open to non-members and CEO's from other non-energy related sectors as well.
The conference runs from Sunday May 20th to May 23rd and will be held at the Hilton Barbados.
