Despite the onset of the COVID -19 pandemic, at least two institutions are reporting there’s a high demand from Barbadians looking to pursue studies.
One of them is the Barbados Institute of Management and Productivity (BIMAP).
Following a MOU signing with the Samuel Jackman Prescod Institute of Technology, BIMAP’s Executive Director, Dr. Sonia Greenidge-Franklyn, said they’ve shifted all of their 60 plus courses online given the COVID-19 environment.
She identified animation, management and others as the popular choices.
Meanwhile, in response to the numbers, SJPI Principal Ian Drakes says they’ve developed a hybrid delivery system for students.
